We’ve cleared away old energy — now it’s time to fortify.
Today we begin our protection work with a ritual bath designed to strengthen your aura and shield your spirit.
Protection baths are a cornerstone of Hoodoo practice. They don’t just wash the body — they wash the energy field. Think of this as spiritual armor in liquid form: gentle but powerful, cleansing yet empowering.
Daily Core Practice
– Light a candle for your ancestors
– Meditate for 10 minutes
– Stretch to release stagnant energy
Today’s Ritual – The Protection Bath
1. Prepare Your Space:
Clean your tub or shower area first. As you do, say:
“Only peace and power dwell here.”
2. Choose Your Base:
Add Epsom salt or Himalayan sea salt to your bathwater — about 1–2 cups. Salt purifies and seals the aura, removing lingering energies that don’t belong to you.
3. Add Your Herbs:
Select one or more of these protective herbs to add to your bath (fresh or dried):
🌿 Rue – Wards off envy and negative intention
🌿 Hyssop – Classic biblical herb for purification
🌿 Basil – Attracts peace, prosperity, and protection
🌿 Mugwort – Strengthens intuition and spiritual defense
🌿 Angelica Root – Powerful guardian herb
🌿 Dill – Shields against gossip and ill will
🌿 Rosemary – Clears heavy energy
🌿 Thyme – Invokes courage and calm
Steep the herbs in hot water like a tea, strain, and pour the infusion into your bath.
4. Immerse & Pray:
As you soak, envision light surrounding you — a shimmering field of calm, confident energy. Speak aloud or think:
“I am surrounded by divine protection.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
Peace is my shield, love is my defense.”
5. After the Bath:
Air-dry if possible, letting the protective energy remain on your skin. Dispose of your bathwater outdoors by pouring it toward your front steps or a nearby tree, asking the earth to absorb and transmute any remaining heaviness.
Reflection
As you move through the day, notice how your energy feels — clearer, more grounded, untouchable. Protection begins within, and today you’ve sealed your field in strength and peace.
